Things to Consider Before Buying a Polaris RZR

The RZR Polaris is a sport side-by-side produced by Polaris Industries. It first appeared in 2007 as a 2008 model, and was marketed as a sub-model of the Ranger, a more work-oriented side-by-side. Until its recent release, however, it has remained one of the most popular and versatile vehicles of its type. Here are a few things to consider before purchasing one.

The RZR was designed with an exhaust header. This part of the vehicle connected the engine to the muffler. The exhaust header also emerged from the side of the vehicle, making it a perfect location for cooling airflow. This exhaust header collects heat from the pistons and directs it to the exhaust. For many years, Polaris outsourced engine production, but in recent years, the company has developed its own engine, the ProStar.

After a safety agency investigation, Polaris issued a recall for RZR models in June 2013. It did not report the number of incidents but said it was aware of just one. However, the company did not notify consumers of fires until November 2018, and excluded Mr. d’Entremont from future safety meetings. This resulted in a voluntary recall of about 4,500 Polaris RZRs. This recall affected models from 2013 to 2018.

During the first generation, the Polaris RZR was the sportiest version. It featured a bed, a seat, and a towing capacity of 1,500 pounds. The RZR was $200 cheaper than the Ranger XP. The competition was stiff, but not too much. Yamaha Rhino’s 700 FI Auto and Ranger XP had larger body styles and higher top speeds, but the RZR was aimed at offering more options for fun.

The RZR 800 LE offers improved features while still retaining the base model’s basic characteristics. The upgraded shocks feature painted springs and sit on black or red aluminium rims for improved performance and durability. The Polaris RZR S800 LE also has a spacious rear cargo box and optional heated seats. Aside from the new features, the RZR 800 LE also offers more rims.

The Polaris RZR was an extremely popular sport UTV. Released one year after the original RZR, the RZR S 800 boasted a ten-inch wider body than the original. It was also considerably faster than its predecessor and was the first in its class to reach 60 MPH. The RZR S 800’s popularity meant the company responded to demand for even more RZR models.

It features a TurfSaver rear differential, which unlocks the rear differential when riding on smooth surfaces. In situations where aggressive traction is not needed, the selectable On-Demand AWD drive system delivers excellent handling and increased fuel efficiency. The RZR 900 battery is approximately seven-and-a-half inches in size and is installed in an upright position.

The RZR line has undergone extensive refinement. Its features include a seven-inch color touchscreen with navigation, a Bluetooth audio system, and a Rockford Fosgate stereo. It also offers a host of storage compartments. This is great news for those who need to carry their gears around. Besides the RZR Ultimate, it also has many other models, special editions, and upgrades.

While the RZR 570 is a midweight SxS, its ProStar engine inherited from big-bore machines offers top-class performance. Its suspension provides generous suspension travel. The chassis is sturdy and has excellent ground clearance. Thick skid plates help pass obstacles with ease. And the automatic transmission makes navigating a variety of terrain a breeze. It is an excellent choice for those who enjoy off-road riding.
